Activities: Groups 10-50 pax
These terms and conditions apply to groups with 10-50 pax. Terms and conditions for bigger groups to be settled separately.
Confirmation and payment
A booking is considered confirmed when the deposit payment is received by Lapponia Tours Ltd. In case the payment is not received by the due date, Lapponia Tours Ltd reserves the right to cancel the booking.
The amount of the deposit is 50 % of the gross price of the reservation and it is due 30 days prior to the activity day. The final payment will due after the activity day. The payment is in Euro.
Cancellation of the whole group
- 30 – 15 days prior to the activity day – 30 % of the gross price cancellation fee
- 14 – 8 days prior to the activity day – 50 % of the gross price cancellation fee7 – 0 days prior to the activity day – 100 % cancellation fee
- 7 – 0 days prior to the activity day – 100 % cancellation fee
Cancellation of the whole group for December and New Year season (15 DEC – 6 JAN)
- 30 – 15 days prior to the activity day – 50 % of the gross price cancellation fee
- 14 – 0 days prior to the activity day – 100 % cancellation fee
Changes in numbers of participants
If the original number of participants increases, Lapponia Tours Ltd reserves the right to recalculate the price.
If the original number of participants decreases, null cancellation fee applies
10-2 days prior to the activity day as follows:
- group size 14-20 pax – max 2 pax decrease
- group size 21-30 pax – max 4 pax decrease
- group size 31-50 pax – max 6 pax decrease
- group size 51 pax and over – program depending, to be agreed separately.
Previous day of the activity or closer no refund will be done.
All changes and cancellations are to be received in written form during office hours (Mon-Fri) – latest at 16.00h (4 PM) Finnish time. Later notice is considered to be received on the next working day.
In case of illness
The same cancellation terms are applied also in case of illness.
Organizing fee
Lapponia Tours Ltd adds organizing costs to the booking as follows:
- 25 € to the booking for 12-50 pax
- 50 € to the booking for 50 pax and more.
Snowmobile safaris
Snowmobiles are insured as required by The Finnish Traffic Insurance Act. This insurance covers medical care for injuries to the driver and the passenger arising from accidents.
Personal injuries and damages to other parties are fully covered according to The Finnish Traffic Insurance Act.
Snowmobile safari participants are held liable for damages caused to snowmobiles rented to them. The self-liability amount is maximum 900 Euros per snowmobile and per accident case. You can reduce the own liability in some programs by advanced paid extra charge.
- The driver of a snowmobile has to be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license in Finland – please read more regulations: Foreign driving license in Finland.
- During snowmobile safaris children under 13 years old sit in a sleigh pulled by the guide, if not specified otherwise by a producer.
- Small children should be accompanied by an adult when sitting in a sleigh during an activity.
- Driving of a snowmobile under the influence of an alcoholic and/or other toxic substance is prohibited by Finnish law. The payment is not refunded on this reason.
- Every participant is required by law to wear a helmet on a snowmobile safari.
- Snowmobile activities are not recommended for pregnant women.
Husky safaris
- The personal liability is 1200 € /case of accident.
- During husky safaris children under 14 years old are not allowed to drive a husky team, but sit in a sleigh – to drive a husky team the client should be physically fit (also minimum weight, height etc.)
- Small children should be accompanied by an adult when sitting in a sleigh during an activity.
- Husky activities are not recommended for pregnant women.
Other conditions
- The producer is not liable for any loss, injury, damage whether direct, indirect or consequential, arising from incidents or accidents during transfers, meals, accommodation, games and other activities except to the extent that such loss, injury or damage is caused by intention or by gross negligence.
- The client is obliged to compensate producer any indirect loss and costs arising from any negligent act or omission or from any other reason which does not follow the given instructions.
- All transfers including in the activity are under the liability of the producer.
- For the booking the client should inform of any medical conditions of any of the participants which can affect the running of an activity as planned.
- Lapponia Tours Ltd and its producer reserves the right to change the program due to safety or weather conditions etc.
- Lapponia Tours Ltd and its producer reserves the right to interrupt an activity if a participant is seen as a potential danger to him/herself or to other participants. In case of termination of an activity the payment is not refunded.
- Personal travel insurance is highly recommended. Please check the coverage of your travel insurance.
Applicable law and place of litigation
The Contracting Parties shall strive to solve disputes concerning the Contract together through negotiations. In the event an agreement cannot be reached through negotiations disputes shall be carried out in the District Court of Lappi. The Contract is bound by Finnish law. Lapponia Tours Ltd shall not be liable for changes arising subsequent to this publication which are beyond our control, for example force majeure (strike, fire, water damage, nature disaster, war etc.). Lapponia Tours Ltd reserves the right to make changes.
Payment Service Provider Paytrail Oyj
Paytrail Plc acts as a collecting payment service provider and is an authorized Payment Institution. Paytrail Plc will be shown as the recipient on your bank or credit card statement. Paytrail Plc will forward the payment to the merchant. For reclamations, please contact the website the payment was made to.
